About

Hi, I’m JD

A builder, problem-solver, and someone who enjoys figuring out how things work by making them.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked as a primary school teacher, where I’ve spent a lot of time exploring how technology can be used in practical, meaningful ways. That’s included everything from robotics and coding to designing systems and tools that make things run more efficiently.

JD Build Lab started as a way to share those ideas. Now, it’s a place to experiment more broadly — building projects, testing ideas, and sharing what works (and what doesn’t).

The rebrand from PlanetCodeBot to JD Build Lab reflects a change in direction for this space. Rather than limiting purely to robotics and coding, my goal is to explore the many wonderful areas of science & technology.
