In November, Planet CodeBot introduced it’s first Lego Mindstorms Robot Inventor Kit custom build, ‘Rex’ the robot dinosaur. We have had a huge amount of positive feedback about Rex and have really enjoyed talking with fellow Lego fans about the build.
Up until now, Rex remained a one off model. We started building the model for fun and over time our vision (and the complexity of the model) grew tremendously. We wanted to share this build with the community, so that fellow fans, creators, educators and students could build and improve upon our design.
As there are currently no instructions for how to build Rex, we figured that the next best thing would be to provide a comprehensive video guide for how to deconstruct Rex. Viewers now have the chance to watch as we break Rex down step-by-step. By following the steps in reverse, we hope that it is possible for others to build this Lego tyrant king.
